Hug them, kiss them, cuddle with them, spend more time rubbing their heads and holding their hands. Give yourself to them without rush.
Pray with them, and let them twirl your hair in their little fingers. Look them in the eye when you talk to them. To truly follow the example of Jesus, we have to submit everything we are to the faithful hand of God. Jesus gave up everything for His children, so that they would be redeemed. And so He became the model of servant leadership and sacrificial love. When we die to ourselves and our expectations, a lot of the desperate feelings leave because we are no longer seeking to fulfill our own needs and expectations as the ultimate good in our lives.
A good attitude about work makes her children feel that she is glad that she is a mom and that she is thankful for her children. I have seen so many women give up on their ideals as moms, but I also see many older women who have conquered the building of a home, nurturing a godly legacy through the lives of their children. They embraced, in obedience to God, His call for them to build their home into a place of righteousness. It is an achievable goal, but it requires commitment, fortitude, and graceful endurance.
Wild, right? Can you even fathom that? But yes, according to Hebrews , if you are being sanctified meaning you know and follow God , you have been perfected for eternity. It means that you are not your sin. You are not the bad decision you made yesterday. You are not the stupid thing you said today. Accept the molding. When you do this, when you let your identity be found in Him, you can live your life in freedom.
You know that you are loved and perfect for eternity, so just live!
