The princess arrives and mistakes Hajji as the escort until he mistakes the emerald ring sent by Nur-El-Din to Fawzia as the prize to be delivered. In her efforts to escape him, her turban becomes unbound and Hajji realizes that the girl herself is the treasure Nur-El-Din awaits.
Hajji promises to escort her and they spend the night with the caravan of Osman Aga Thomas Gomez , who invites them to stay for the dancing girls, among them, the incomparable Ayesha Rosemarie Bowe. The pair are overtaken by the Caliph 's Donald Randolph guards sent to bring Fawzia back, but the guards are driven off by an invading army of Turcoman women, a band of fierce and beautiful women who prey on passing merchants.
It was popular and remained in print for over a century. In the early s Walter Wanger produced four films with Allied Artists. They were happy with the results and signed a new contract with the producer, the first of which was to be Hajji Baba. It was a return to the type of film Wagner had previously made such as Arabian Nights Condition: Very Good or better. Red cloth, gilt stamping and color illustration paste-on to front cover. Brandywine Edition, one of five uniformly bound volumes including a color frontispiece, a note by former Pyle pupils, and pen decorations by Robert Ball. The frontispiece and note in this volume are by N. Wyeth, who became a celebrated illustrator in his own right. Each chapter tells a different tale of Robin as he recruits Merry Men, resists the authorities, and aids his fellow man.
The popular stories of Little John defeating Robin in a fight with staffs, of Robin's besting at the hands of Friar Tuck, and of his collusion with Allan-a-Dale all appear. In the end, Robin and his men are pardoned by King Richard the Lionheart and his band are incorporated into the king's retinue, much to the dismay of the Sheriff of Nottingham.

One single shot of two people in a room full of hanging glass vials filled with colored liquids, is the most imaginative thing in the film. It is too bad that some of the magic supposed to have been in those vials didn't spill out upon the picture, which opened yesterday at the Globe.
