Sort order. May 22, Cori rated it really liked it. A cute story about twin girls enjoying time together but realizing what it is like to be a part. Its a great early chapter book with bigger font and pictures for the students that don't quite have the stamina to read without pictures just yet. I won this through the BookingMama blog giveaway. Thank you to Johanna Hurwitz and Candlestick press for the opportunity to share these books with students who can enjoy while improving their reading skills.

Feb 10, Heidi rated it really liked it. Hurwitz has a gift for writing realistic early chapter books. Her characters feel genuine and her plots are interesting. Arlene and Ilene are identical twins who love being identical. But that doesn't mean they agree on everything. The girls agree a lot of the time, but they argue like most siblings do. In this book the girls deal with having pets ferrets , Halloween, new triplets at school, and Arlene having surgery. The book is a fun read with plenty to smile about, except when the girls lie Hurwitz has a gift for writing realistic early chapter books.

I like to recommend these sorts of books to 2nd-3rd graders because they can relate to the stories and the shortness makes it readable. The illustrations breaking up the text are a nice touch and makes the book easier to swallow for young readers.

I couldn't resist getting this book from the library since it's about twins, and I'm a twin. I knew Christopher wouldn't read it because it's a contemporary book about girls, but he did listen to me read it to him. It plays on the twinness a little more that I would have liked, but it's a fun book about sisters and friendship. I good alternative to Junie B. Jones for young readers.
