There were also moments I was moved to tears by God reaching out to the lost and at some precious reunions and memorable meetings. For some characters it was a story of Redemption, for others it was God's righteous judgments against the wicked that were handed down and His favor and protection for those who followed Him.

The many aspects of love were shown, phileo, eros and agape, Joshua in particular displayed all three passionately. Elizabeth was a strong godly woman who loved deeply and the perfect match for Joshua. I found The Shores of Bountiful to be dramatic and exciting to read and would highly recommend it. I love reading stories that take place during the Nephite and Lamanite times. Even though a lot of the characters are fiction, The first book that started my blog was called "The Birthright" By Loralee Evans. Even though a lot of the characters are fiction, the events that took place are real like the start of the Gadianton robbers. Following Elizabeth during her time of grief, following Joshua into the throws of battle, the emotions are high, but well worth it!

This book is also about family and finding the love that lives with you, even through some of the darkest hours of life. If you are in the mood for some history, romance, drama, a battle or two then pick up this book and Loralee's other books.

With footnotes, you recognize that Loralee Evans was very conscious of real-life characters and situations. I couldn't wait for the storybook ending for Elizabeth and Joshua.

She has lived in Missouri, Texas, and Utah, and even spent a year and a half in Japan. Some of her favorite authors are James Dashner, C. Lewis, Heather B. Scott Savage, J. And the value of a healthy ocean is not just theoretical. Having grown up in a fishing family in Eastport, I care deeply about sustainable coastal communities and what makes Maine a special place to live and visit.

But objections from fishermen to this monument are misguided. Not only is this area one of the most lightly fished parts in our region — making it an ideal place to set aside — but fishermen even stand to benefit from the new protections. Science shows closed ocean areas produce more fish and crustaceans , which can be caught by fishermen when they spill over into surrounding areas.

Protecting some areas from human impact also helps scientists trying to understand the impact of ocean acidification and climate change — information our fishing communities need for sustaining their businesses in a changing environment. So far, more than , people and organizations — including coastal businesses like mine, recreational fishermen, political officials, faith leaders and aquaria — have voiced their support for marine monuments to the Interior and Commerce departments.
